Dribbble UX Academy Job Guarantee Policy

The Dribbble UX Academy’s primary objective is to empower individuals with the skills and practical experience required to achieve a career path in UI/UX and digital product design. As a Dribbble student you will be taught by world-class instructors and receive guidance through mentorship as you hone your skills and build your professional portfolio on the Dribbble platform. Thus, we offer a guarantee of landing a job in the digital product design field within 6 months after completing the course, otherwise students may be eligible to receive up to a $1,000 tuition refund. 

The Dribbble Job Guarantee has specific eligibility criteria, which are carefully designed to ensure our students’ success in the competitive job market of digital product design. In order to qualify for the job guarantee, students must meet all the criteria within the following broad requirements:

  • A minimum age of 18 years with a high school diploma or its equivalent;

  • Residency in an eligible metropolitan area, or willingness to relocate to one;

  • Willingness to consider both remote and on-site/in-person job positions;

  • Successful completion of the program and full payment of tuition fees.

Specific Requirements

UX Academy Participation and Completion

Student must have demonstrable proof of active participation, on-time completion of coursework and have successfully met graduation requirements including:

  • On-time completion and submission of all weekly assignments in Disco, and/or Slack

  • 100% attendance rate in all weekly mentorship meetings and live Q&A sessions

  • Acknowledgement and implementation of mentor feedback on all design projects

  • On-time completion and submission of capstone projects and case study

  • Cleared for graduation on all capstone projects and case studies 

  • Publishing completed capstone projects and case studies to Dribbble profile

Development and Active Maintenance of Dribbble Portfolio

Students must build and maintain an up-to-date portfolio on Dribbble with a minimum of three published portfolio pieces upon course completion in addition to the following requirements:

  • Publish to your Dribbble profile one new digital product design portfolio piece each month post graduation;

  • Dribbble profile must be set to “available for work”;

  • Setting work preferences and availability on your Dribbble profile;

  • Selecting your design specialities and specific skills on your Dribbble profile;

  • Complete work and education history on your Dribbble profile

Work Eligibility

Student must be at least 18 years of age, and have completed a high school diploma or equivalent at the time of graduation.

  • Student must have a valid work permit for the location in which they are applying for positions (valid for a minimum of 12 months beyond the end of the Job Search period).

  • Student must be able to pass any background checks associated with jobs applied for. If the Student fails to obtain a job due to their failure to pass a background check associated with the job offer, Student will not be eligible for the tuition refund.

  • Student must be a resident in a metropolitan area in one of the selected countries listed below, and/or be willing to relocate to one of these metropolitan areas for work. 

  • Student must be willing to accept both remote and non-remote positions.

Eligible Metropolitan Areas

To be eligible for the Job Guarantee, the Student must be a resident in a metropolitan area with a population above 200,000 in the following countries:

  • the United States

  • Canada

  • European Union & European Free Trade Area member countries

  • the United Kingdom

  • Australia

  • New Zealand

Job Search

Student must have proof of consistent and proactive approach to the job search which includes:

  • Applying to at least 5 qualifying jobs per week related to digital product design from the date of completion of all program requirements, with supporting documentation serving as proof of application in the form of job application confirmations, customized resume and cover letters tailored to the specific job postings, screenshots of exchanges, and/or email exchanges with employers.

  • Actively building a professional network by reaching out to at least 5 new individuals per week, with supporting documentation serving as proof of screenshots of any written messages or detailed notes of in-person conversations. Outreach includes emailing, Dribbble messages, LinkedIn messages, meetups, and conferences.

Eligible Job Opportunities

Job opportunities within the digital product design industry may vary depending on the student’s previous educational background, prior design experience, existing professional network, geographic location, current market conditions and portfolio quality. Therefore, the following job opportunities are considered qualifying jobs that would exclude a student from a tuition reimbursement. 

Job Opportunities

  • Unpaid, or paid internship

  • Freelance or independent contract work (hourly, set project fee, or retainer; direct hire or through an agency or freelance marketplace)

  • Part-time employment 

  • Full-time employment

How to Request a Job Guarantee Reimbursement

If you have met all of the above criteria and have not landed an eligible job opportunity after 6 months from course graduation, you may request reimbursement for up to $1,000 USD. To start the reimbursement process, please write into education@dribbble.com within 30 days after the 6 month job search period has expired. Reimbursement requests after this deadline will not be considered. You must provide evidence that you have met all of the tuition reimbursement requirements stated above.
